GrooveCade is an independent music community operated by Mr.Chippy in Belgium. These terms cover the website, rooms, accounts, and community features, including use as a guest. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, stop using it.
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age that applies where you live or under a connected service's rules. If you are not old enough to enter this agreement yourself, involve a parent or legal guardian and obtain any permission required by local law. GrooveCade is not intended for children under 13.
The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Reading or accepting these terms is not consent to optional tracking.
Your account
Use accurate account information, keep your login secure, and choose a handle and avatar that follow the community rules. Do not impersonate someone else, trade accounts, or use another person's account without permission.
If you think your account has been compromised, contact GrooveCade staff promptly. You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion through the contact route below. Leaving a room, signing out, or disconnecting Discord does not delete your account or all associated records.
The house rules
People come here to share music and hang out. Keep the space safe for work and respect the people in it.
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, stalking, or sharing someone else's private information.
- No sexual or pornographic material, graphic violence, exploitation, or content that endangers minors.
- No scams, malware, spam, impersonation, or illegal activity.
- Respect copyright and other people's rights. Only upload material you have permission to share.
- Do not manipulate votes, queues, rewards, or live counters with bots, duplicate accounts, or other abuse. Do not evade bans or try to access accounts, data, or systems without authorisation.
- Follow reasonable room rules and moderation instructions. A room host cannot override these terms or applicable law.
Music & your content
You keep the rights you have in your original uploads, artwork, messages, and other content. By sharing it, you give GrooveCade the permission needed to store, process, and display it to provide the features you use and moderate the service. This permission does not transfer ownership of your work.
Music is played through third-party services such as YouTube and SoundCloud. Their terms, availability, licences, and playback restrictions still apply. A link being playable does not give you permission to redistribute, download, or commercially use the underlying music. GrooveCade does not grant music rights.
Public room content can be seen or copied by other people. Avoid posting anything you need to keep confidential. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact staff with the content location, the right involved, and enough information to investigate.
Voluntary donations
GrooveCade is free to join. The support link leads to voluntary donations to Mr.Chippy through PayPal, helping with hosting and development. A donation does not purchase a product, subscription, premium feature, special access, or in-app advantage.
PayPal handles the payment and its own fees, terms, and privacy practices. Check the amount and recipient before paying. If you made a donation in error, contact Mr.Chippy and use PayPal's available support or dispute options. Any rights you have under applicable law remain intact.
Moderation & reports
Room hosts and moderators can manage their rooms, including removing tracks, muting users, or restricting room access. GrooveCade staff may remove content or restrict an account to address rule violations, safety concerns, abuse, or legal obligations. Urgent action may happen before notice.
Moderation can use staff review and automated checks. Custom background uploads and their image safety scans are currently disabled. Automated checks can make mistakes. To report a problem or ask for a moderation decision to be reviewed, contact staff with your handle, the room or content involved, and a brief explanation.
An app in alpha
GrooveCade is still being developed. Features may change or be withdrawn, and bugs, interruptions, playback delays, or lost content can occur. Keep your own copies of anything important. Playback also depends on your connection and the external music provider.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or other conduct for which the law prevents exclusion.
Changes to these terms
The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be explained through an appropriate service or community notice before they take effect where required by law. Where a change requires your agreement, it will be requested. You can stop using the service if you do not accept revised terms.
These terms do not remove protections provided by the mandatory laws that apply to you. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where legally possible.
